Elections To The Board Of Directors
Per new legislation SB 2 has added Section 6.0301 of The Texas Property Tax Code which pertains to Board of Directors in Populous Counties. Subsection c states "The appraisal district is governed by a board of nine directors. Five directors are appointed by the taxing units that participate in the district in the manner prescribed by Section 6.03. Three directors are elected by majority vote of the general election for state and county officers by the voters of the county in which the district is established. The county assessor-collector serves as an ex officio director.

Application for a Place on the Ballot for a General Election – Form 2-33
The Application for a Place on the Ballot must be turned in to the Elections Administration Office.

The Acknowledgement of Duties Form must be signed in order to file an application for a place on the ballot. Please file this document with the Chief Appraiser at the Appraisal District.
